June – Safety Inspection and Annual Lunch & Awards

A lovely sunny day for our Safety Inspection and Lunch.  This yearly inspection is available to all members.  At the very low cost of $20 per vehicle, Brian will give your car a thorough going over.  If you Morry is on concessional licence and rarely used, then this is a great opportunity to check it out as vehicles deteriorate when they’re just sitting and not being used.  Equally important, if it’s your daily driver then there is constant wear and tear that you may not be aware of of.

Here’s some photos from the inspection and the lunch ….

May – British Car Day, Gingin

We had a bit of rain in the morning, which deterred a few people from driving to Gingin in their Morries.  Those that did enjoyed sunshine (with just a few small showers), stalls, music and talking to the public about our cars.  Daryl, the owner of the Smokinrat rod, isn’t a member but his rod was certainly a drawcard and very welcome in our display.

April – Economy Run and Picnic

Small turnout on a glorious autumn day for a pleasant drive through hills and valleys, orchards, bush and vineyards with a picnic finish at Stirk Park in Kalamunda.  Thanks to those who joined us.

March – Guildford Heritage Festival

A lovely day out at Guildford.  Huge variety of stalls, great bands and entertainment, dance floor, antiques, and cars cars cars (including our Morries)!  Guildford Primary School even came to our tent to sell us their delicious cakes and biscuits.  We couldn’t resist!! 🙂

February – Hamburger Run via Lake Monger to Alfred’s Kitchen, Guildford

A very hot night but a good run through the Victoria Park coffee strip, the city and Leederville/Oxford Street to Lake Monger and then on to Alfred’s for the best burgers in town.

January – Crepes Under the Grapes in Kalamunda

Small turnout but a heap of crepes consumed!  Perfect day for sitting under the grapevines and chatting.  Good to see our friend Michael from Boyup Brook.

December – Christmas Lunch 2016 at Chidley Point Reserve, Mosman Park

An unfortunate incident late in the day for Vice President Rob when his Morry’s gear stick decided to detach itself.  Luckily he had Morry friends to help him get “Bob” back together again.
